Staircase installation: what a good fit actually looks like
Most of whether a staircase goes in well is decided at the factory, not on site. Here is what a good installation looks like: a properly measured, dry-fitted stair, strings fixed into something solid, wedges glued tight, and glue kept off the show timber.
How long does a new staircase take?
A survey usually happens within about a week of getting in touch, and a standard sourced staircase then runs on a 2 to 3 week lead time from payment, with more complex or bespoke flights taking 4 to 6 weeks. That lead time starts at payment, after the survey, drawings and sign-off, so the total from first contact is longer.
